What I Wanted to Whisper is a project that outlines the paths to our inner strength.
We explore a topic that people usually avoid discussing—early miscarriage.
With What I Wanted to Whisper, we pay tribute and draw attention to it with the belief that more and more people will find the space and opportunity to talk and share personal experiences, which will bring about a change towards a more conscious attitude towards ourselves, better medical care, and mutual human support.
At NISHKA Collective, we believe that every life situation offers a new perspective and a new opportunity to connect with our personal strength.
That is why we sent out an open invitation and met with thirteen women who had experienced miscarriage and shared their stories with us. They told us how they found their way to themselves and moved forward with new knowledge and wisdom in life.
We drew inspiration from these stories and created our experiential art installation What I Wanted to Whisper—a magical, immersive, and poetic journey on the path to oneself. The installation includes personal messages of support from the women to anyone who is currently going through a difficult period in their life.
Together with a team of specialists (gynecologists, homeopaths, nutritionists, and psychotherapists), we created a free downloadable handbook in Bulgarian, Take Care of Yourself, a gentle collection of tips and guidelines on how to support ourselves and our loved ones who have experienced an early miscarriage.
